Tanked is the global ambassador for the zoo, or for the bears at least. Or perhaps he’s just too inebriated to take sides. Which makes my mind wander: what would the typical UN summit look like if all participants were required to get a little bit sloshed first? Not debilitating-throw-up-on-your-neighbor-delegate drunk but just enough to loosen everyone up. Would they get along better? Would they get more done? Do they ever get stuff done?
And Gay better ‘man up’ and stand up for himself at some point and stop holding everything in or he’s going to pop a blood vessel.
Hey parents! (and everyone who loves good indy comics!) The guys behind the New Brighton Archeological Society book published by Image are raising funds through Kickstarter to put together a 2nd volume. Volume 1 was a Harvey Award Nominee and it’s just a great graphic novel for all ages so I’m looking forward to what they come up with for book 2, and I can’t wait to be able to sit down and read stuff like this with Sam. Unfortunately he’s still at the eat or rip the pages stage but he’s going to have quite the library of cool comics and books when he’s old enough Anyway, you can read through volume 1 online now and if you like please check out their Kickstarter page.
I’m mixing my Marvel and DC together: BatDeath (and I promise no zombie or vampire variants!)
"#234 – “Might not keep the Defias away”
So things have been a tad sporadic lately – I’ve been doing a fair bit of work with the 3D models I use in preparation for trying to update several at once for the sake of some internal consistency regarding a certain detail (namely eyes). It’s been making progress, but.. it’s also meant that most of my creative energy has been going into that, leaving my head refusing to transform lose page ideas into actual working dialogue scripts a little too often for my liking.
There was a fair bit of dialogue snippets I’d considered for this page, including references to the identity of said corpse, but it felt like expositing around that would require several panes, so I left it out.

And that's it for Issue Twelve and Year Two of Locus. I hope you enjoyed it.
I should be in a more reflective mood, but I'm too busy right now looking ahead at Year Three. I know that kinda sounds like the bullshit you hear at corporate meetings, but it's true. Maybe later, when Locus is in her new digs at locuscomics.com, we'll talk about the highs and lows of Year Two. It was an odd year for me.
Right now, though, I'd like to thank my friends Matt Jacobs and Jason Badower for hosting Locus this year, even though it gummed some things up.
Locus is leaving Wevolt, but I'll still be checking back here regularly to read The Path, Phineus, Trinity, and Creepy Carly, because I dig those comics and dig the people making them. I hope you guys stick around, too. There are some damn fine comics here, and Murch's fiction if you dig short stories and sweeping novels and such.
I also hope that you will follow me again to what will almost positively maybe for certain I'm not sure hopefully definitely be the last move ever for this comic.
There are a lot of cool things for me to use now, and there are all these neat things I want to try.
See you at the new site on Monday!

Gutters: Issue #50 - Courtney Huddleston
For a long time now, we've always heard about the ongoing battle for the rights to Superman. Most people tend to wonder exactly how it happened that Siegel & Schuster would hand over 100% of the rights.
My hope is that with this page, it will all become clear.
And yes, Comic Historians may use this page in their thesis.
We'll see you on Wednesday, folks!

Aha, Ze Plan!
is fine. Just needed a bit more time with this one and we had to make a few
additional revisions. Otherwise, we'll be resuming our updates as usual.
Hope you enjoy the latest two episodes of Teh Gladiators."

Today's trivia: O'Kot'Tu are not mammals. But Spook's lack of nipples already told you that, so you're not surprised, right? :)
That monster in the last panel is a Chuung. Spook mentioned them back in Issue Nine, because I knew I'd have one chasing Isaac at some point. Have fun, Isaac!
Also: This is the last week of Locus on Wevolt. It's also the last week of Issue 12, and the last week of Year Two.
Lots of planets aligned right now, in a manner of speaking. And it all means LOTS OF WORK for me.
First, Locus has a new home for Year Three, which is located at locuscomics.com. Click that link long enough to bookmark it, because they're nothing there right now.
Second, I actually need to build the site. I get by with a little help from my friends, and I have many good friends helping me out as we speak. So check locuscomics.com on November 1, and help me usher in Year Three!
For now, though, let's not worry about any of that. Let's just kick back and enjoy the ending of Issue 12 and Year Two.
Run, Isaac! Ruuuun!
